Since 1978, SFM has designed and manufactured 100% of its collections within its production unit in Besançon, the European capital of micro-technologies (birthplace of watchmaking).

A Fully Integrated Manufacture
The leading French manufacturer of diamond jewelry, SFM integrates on its site all processes combining high-technology know-how with craftsmanship:

- Ateliers de bijouterie, sertissage, polissage, gravure laser
Moreover, in its industrial approach, SFM jewelry has always been a pioneer. For instance, as early as 1996, we were the first French SME (across all industries) to operate 5-axis CNC machines.
The So-Called Machining Technology
SFM fabrique ses bijoux à l’aide de machines à commandes numériques. C’est en effet l’un des rares fabricants au monde à usiner la totalité de ses collections à partir de tubes d’or, de platine ou d’argent. Ce savoir-faire est issu de plus de trente années de recherches et d’innovations. L’usinage confère une qualité de finition et une résistance métallurgique exceptionnelles, bien supérieures à celles obtenues par la fonte du métal (le Casting).
Furthermore, this technology allows us to offer a very favorable price-quality ratio due to the high mechanization of the production process. Our manufacture is particularly recognized for its performance in working with platinum, one of the most demanding metals in terms of machining.

Poinçon Laser : Premier fabricant français à avoir obtenu la délégation du poinçon d’état, SFM est également pionnière dans l'utilisation du laser pour graver les poinçons de garantie et de responsabilité.
Furthermore, for complete transparency with our clients, our workshops go beyond the legislation that requires the eagle’s head hallmark on jewelry starting from 3 grams, by applying it from 1 gram.
Un titrage garanti : Pour assurer à ses clients une conformité constante de la teneur légale en or fin, SFM atteste d’un titrage strictement supérieur aux 750 millièmes requis.
Un poids carat assuré : Toutes les pièces empierrées bénéficient chez SFM d'une assurance "poids carat mini" afin de vous garantir un poids carat total de la pièce supérieur ou égal au poids carat annoncé.
Or blanc palladié : Tous les ouvrages d'or blanc chez SFM sont réalisés à partir d'un alliage contenant 12,5% de palladium, et SFM est en mesure de vous affirmer l'absence totale de nickel.

Our Labels
Joaillerie de France
The Joaillerie de France label was created by the French Union BJOP to promote French jewelry-making expertise worldwide.
It certifies that the products bearing the hallmark were made in France in compliance with legal, social, ethical, and environmental regulations governing the industry on French territory, as well as professional standards.
The label certifies that the products have been manufactured, set, and polished in France.
Responsible Jewellery Council
Le Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) est une organisation à but non lucratif fondée en 2005.
Its mission: to promote responsible practices (environmental and social) and respect for human rights throughout the gold and diamond supply chain, from mine to showcase.
The RJC Code of Practices defines the ethical, human rights, social, and environmental performance requirements that RJC members must meet to be certified.
SFM has been an RJC member since February 2013.
